It works here just like on Wikipedia and other WikiMedia sites, without a login your IP will be publicly associated with your edits. MediaWiki uses secure password storage settings, that said we recommend that you use a password manager and use an auto-generated password. Do not use your common password that you use everywhere else. We will try our best to keep everything secure, but we are only hobbyists. Similarly, it is best to use a throwaway e-mail address. Exercise due diligence and protect your identity.
